J.M. Robison writes fantasy books where heroes don't follow the rules. She joined the U.S. Army at 17 which has brought her rich experience in different cultures, religions, and ethnicities to add variety to her world-building and characters (to date she has visited Italy, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Qatar, U.A.E., and Kuwait.) She currently works as an Army Recruiter in Central California.
